so today at work i had to get on a register to take only credit/debit cards, it got really busy after awhile, and this guy came up with a huge stack of cds, so naturally with such a big purchase i asked for some id, the guy seemed pretty annoyed, which happens, people seem to get offended when i do something so out of the ordinary as to check and see that no one has stolen that card, anyways, i grab the guy's id and credit card, and look at the names, it was anthony michael hall, whoops, so now i have anthony michael hall pissed off at me for not recognising him, which was at its most obvious when i told him to sign at the bottom then tap ok on the credit card machine (ex virgin people will know what i'm talkin' about) to which he snapped back "i know what to do" he then left without saying goodbye or acknowledging my "have a nice day sir" sure i could have realised my "error" (i use that term extremely loosely) and referred to him as mr. hall (or is it mr. michael hall? psht, these celebrities and their long names) but i figured, hey, half the time i see a celebrity interview they bitch and moan about wanting to just not be recognised some times, so i did exactly that, well the brain sure did not like that, though to my credit the last thing i saw him in was either hysteria: the def leppard story or edward scissorhands (i'm talking viewings here, not first time viewing).
in other news i did get to meet stewart copeland at a virgin signing in the union square store! that was pretty damn cool, i told him i was born on the day "every breath you take" was released (which i was hesitant to, didn't want to make him feel too old), and he replied by saying "hey guess i'm happy that we released a song on the same day that the result of your dad getting lucky 9 months prior was born" pretty funny, i'll post the picture of that soon.
anyways, that's all, oh and any beatles fans have to read
"here, there, and everywhere: my life recording the music of the beatles" fantastic read, which reminds me, this morning when i got off the train at grand central on my way to work i was almost done with a chapter so i did the ol' walk and read, when suddenly this middle-aged woman stopped me just to say "excuse me, but i want to say that by reading that book you are an inspiration to everyone in your age group, thank you, and well done" so that was cool.
