Day 1 of New Student Orientation (which I'm helping run)

Day 1: This was massively fun, actually. Tiring, but fun. Lots of work today, but still fun. Fun work...funwerks. HELLO MR. O'RILEY.

7:30 am - Setting up for new student check-in: Moving tables, carrying tablecloths, fixing binders for the students, etc.
8:30 am - Check-in -- meeting them, giving them nametags, helping them go to the necessary booths within a small frame of time. Also handing out flyers for the student newspaper and time management conference on Aug. 28.
10:00 am - Chapel, pretty good today. I wondered about how I actually hadn't yet gotten to meet the president of the seminary. His message was pretty good. Revelation 1:4-18, talking about beginnings, and how John begins Revelation and centers on Jesus throughout his beginning.
11:30 am - Talking to student group 1 about student life and student government, community ops on campus.
1:00 pm - Talking to student group 2 about the same stuff briefly at the start of the time slot, then going to eat FOR SHEEZER.
1:15 pm - LUNCH, catered by On the Border. I talked to several students and faculty that I hadn't met or had met and they had questions. G-Bling. Like, lots of questions. Thankfully none of them were, "Do I look fat in this dress?"
2:00 pm - Academic Orientation, but we set up the tables for the church fair and got in registered church groups to their respective tables through the sign-up table. One table was randomly butt-heavy, which I don't get, but the rest were pretty easy to move.
3:15 pm - Church fair, so I walked around talking to people some mo. I also finally got to meet the President of the University and Seminary (Dr. Waybright), so that was pretty tight. He said he plans to invite us (SGA) over to his house for some dinner.
5:00 pm - Clean-up DONE.

I'm tired, and I need to rest my voice since I talked so much today in answering people's questions and speaking at the student life orientation meetings.

tired, but, butz, fun, james
