I Don’t Like Sugar In My Tea Anymore

Feb 06, 2008 00:35

This was something I realised over the weekend, and it kinda weirded me out.

Ok, I’ve been having sweetener in my tea since I first went on the Slimming World plan a couple of years back, but over more recent times I’ve actually been drinking a lot more tea, I guess with the weather being cold and everything, that’s played a part. Being in London this past weekend, and steering away from much alcohol for a change I found myself drinking a lot of tea in cafes and the like.

Me and G spent a fair amount of time playing chess, and just talking, it was kinda needed. But anyway, we seemed to make a habit of going to places that didn’t have any sweetener, and I’d left mine at home, so it was a choice between no sugar, which I sometimes do anyway, and or using sugar. I tried the sugar route, I really did, and then, I can’t remember where we were at the time, but it might have been the Ice Wharf, but I turned around and said out of the blue… “I don’t like sugar in tea anymore”.

It’s true as well. I’ve become so accustomed to sweetener that I don’t want to go back, I enjoy my tea less with real sugar.

The things you learn eh?
