Those were rose-colored times on rides with your eyes closed...with your eyes open wide...

I was chatting with my mom this morning about old childhood memories. Memories of my brother and I off in our own little world, when we used to hide away in one anothers rooms, huddle together, and giggle as we ventured into our own version of reality until the late hours in the night. We used to make our parents so mad, because we'd wake them up with our constant giggling and voice impressions. Oh man, it's like we had our own little language or something! I finally opened up to my mom and explained to her what the terms and names ment in our world, and these are some of the characters: bacon, doodley, hoffa, chaplin, dollar the three-legged dog, penny-helper, dark wing duck(tales), and Hammy B. the Demanding Hamster. and much much more. And to think this conversation all started when I asked my mom about baby names...she suggested that both my first born son and first born daughter should be named after her and dad. I told her that I'll probably name them something weird, considering the names of some of my stuffed animals: there was imagonnado my brown teddy bear, and Pooches and KathyLee, my christmas scottish terrier pup. oh and who can forget Stanley Earing, my mouse friend...i sure do miss that mouse. He was my favorite.

I can't believe my parents only knew each other for 4 months before they got married! That sounds insane. It's not nearly enough time. they were both 21.

Me: "Oh come on now, Mom, we're young and in love."
Mom: "Right, hunny, right...just like your father and I."

I enjoyed my childhood. And in all honesty, I'm grateful that It was a sheltered one. I'm looking forward to the days of raising my own family.

I miss my brother...
