In the last 2 days I have gotten exactly 29 friend requests

28 from webcam slut/bitches/cunts/women who should just go and fuck off

If I didn't have friends that I could only email from there it would be fucking gone.

maybe try setting yourself as "away" for a while. that could cut it down quite a bit. most of the stuff ppl try to do to make $ on myspace is a) webcam porn etc. (as you see), and b) selling "hacks" e.g. profile front-end customizations, skins etc.

i know lots about various spam bots that have come and gone, a few spammers gaming the place, and other myspace issues such as profile hijacking and related security concerns. got a couple contacts working there too. it's still a pretty unstable and abused place but not as bad as it used to be. they're deploying new code every week trying to keep it under control.

The good thing about myspace is finding stuff like Red Temple Spirits together again and working on new music.

Most of it just sucks.

I think it may just be a flawed model.

But, I could just really be grumpy tonight.

I think you've just described the situation for 30% of all MySpace users.

I wouldn't use the shit if there weren't a few people on there that use it instead of e-mail.

So I maintain an account, getting about 20 spam requests after everytime I bother to sign on. I don't even care who's on my friends list anymore. I reject any girl's name and accept any band that's listed as industrial.
