maybe I should finally start to put some stuff up in my LJ,
so - who's out to play next friday?? tis the next Low-Down-And-Dirty - gonna also stick a copy of the post I made about the issues from last months LD&D plus the plans to fix them!!! -
it seemed as though reports from the 1st LD&D were mixed, I've spoken to the venue and all the problems will be sorted for the next one!! (THIS FRIDAY) :)
everything was just teething problems, but we're the 1st club to run in that venue EVER!!!! so in some ways problems were bound to happen, in other ways one up for the scene having a new venue!
Personally I thought it was a nice place, one person even described it as a mini egg, another point is the staff and managers genuinely liked the crowd!!
the trouble was, of course, seeing as it was the 1st club ever to be held in there, noone was really sure how to go about it, so the downstairs was too quiet and the upstairs was too bright, from next month we'll sort that out -
downstairs - we plan to rearrange completely, make the bar area the chill out part and make where we had the chill out area the loud bit, this will create a natural dance floor area, also we shall bring out own sound system in and that'll take care of everything -
the upstairs - simple, we'll get it darker, also we'll make sure the pool table and table football are both up n running!!
there were comments that it was a pub, um yeah??? pub or club or whatever, good venue, good bar, loud music, good atmos what else do you need?? also the place has a roof terrace, cheap drinks, a pool table, table football and nice chill out areas!!
ok the other issue that was moaned about was, there were some people left over from the local office workers who were between work and going out that evening, none of which were a problem plus they'd all left by about half 11, most of who were getting into the music!!
As for the price, we fully intended "our" crowd to pay no more than £4 or maybe £5 later on in the nite, that's why there are flyers on our web site, accessible through Live Journal (tsoundscape) and left in all the shops we frequent, in furure we could try a dressed like an "alternative type" get in for flyer price deal, but finding a flyer aint hard, in future we'll rinse the trendies brave enough to turn up!!!!
Someone commented that the drinks were expensive, I'm not sure what venue they were in, it really is pub prices all nite, plus 7 shots for £10 ain't pricey!!
So thats it, the start of my LJ!! is it all downhill form now??? :):)
