Social Justice: Political Agendas Vs. Freedom of Speech.

My Assistanship Professor has has visits of students and meetings. So I have spent more time out of her office than in it. :D She can take all her time. ;)

In other news... Another professor in my school sent this. So, Social Work should stop promoting social justice because it is politically biased? Meh!

What is just as politically biased is the protest against it. They are basically implying that the schools of Social Work use social justice to violate the freedom of speech.

I will have to follow the debate closely. Maybe I should have done my Social Policy paper on this, but I already started working on it, and I have too much struggling with the block on my Social Environment paper.

I am a little tired of being told that I chose a "communistic" career. Hey, my sister is a Chavez-hating centrist and she graduated from Social Work pretty much unscratched.

I am quoting a comment in the page that summarizes my feelings about the issue perfectly:

“Social justice” isn’t liberal vs. conservative. It’s about ensuring that people who are ignorant, racist, and judgemental people aren’t shaping the minds of our youth.
