How bout dem Saints!!!!! Whooo!
I haven't really updated lately b/c I haven't had anything to type about really....but now I do, so...
The weekend went by pretty fast for me. Well I suppose it would start fast if I had to wake up for 5:30 on a Saturday :-/... but it was for a good cause. I had to be at da school for 6:15 AM for a Mu Alpha Theta competition in Baton Rouge. Funn stuff...yeah we were doin math n all but it was fun though...especially da food =D. We felt really dumb there though...we were one of, if not the only public school reppin there...so we were competing against these really brainy kids. And really brainy kids were hosting...Baton Rouge Magnet HS. THEY ARE SMART...DHS has a lil trophy case for our awards...they have a whole freekin room! And their hallways are lined with academic excellence banners...intimidating :-/. Not only that, but they have an East and West Cafeteria =-O. And their auditorium seats are cushioned with velvet...gahh stupid private schools >:(. In the competitions, most of us didn't remember jack squat...i only got 2 out of 15 questions right in one competition and an 8 out of 25 on the individual test...so it wasn't a shock that Destrehan wasn't called for any awards until late in the assembly when a couple of seniors represented...someone had to win something.
Had some relatives at my house yesterday for a baby shower...the few males there crowded in my room to watch the Saints game...what a game too, and it started in a way that would suggest the final score...Aaron Brooks fumbling on the goal line, Stecker & Stallworth botching a double reverse, penalties galore. The same inconsistent Saints of the past three seasons were in that game. Grrrrrrr...and LSU didn't fare any better...so not a good weekend for sports locally...BUT DA ASTROS MADE THE PLAYOFFS YESTERDAY....IT IS A MIRACLE!!!!! Unfortunately they can't do jack in the playoffs, especially against the Braves. But maybe this is the year, idk, i shall see...
