I really commend you for putting this out here, Nate. I really do. I'll tell you something else- I really apologize for standing you up. It makes it look like you deserve that...and you absolutely do not. You know what's going on with me and hopefully, you won't use my selfish behavior as another example to stack against you, because it honestly had nothing to do with you as a person. From experience, I've learned I probably shouldn't do this...but I feel it needs to be said:

I think you're an intelligent, creative, very talented individual. I have absolutely no regrets about anything with you, and maybe someday the negative people will dry up and blow away.
