...because honestly, i'm an MMO game ho.
so two other free mmo's were recommended to me recently. the first one being
Audition. it's been sitting on my Mac desktop for a while because i just hadn't found the time/want to move it to my PC where i can actually play it but i finally loaded up and gave it a while. i know it's been out for a while but for those who don't know about it or do know about it and wonder what it's like, i can sum it up to you really quick.
it's
Gaia Online meets
Bust A Move. no, not the
Bubble Bobble knockoff Bust a Move. yes, i still refuse to call it Bust a Groove. anyways, it's all the 'oh! shiny virutal outfits for my avatar to wear!' of Gaia but instead of making nonsense posts on the forums to get 'money' to buy these items, you dance competetively to earn it.
my thoughts? while i've only played it for for about 5 minutes or so, i find myself wanting to hold a playstation controller to play it. i'm not sure if it's possible to play with a controller yet but if it is, i might be willing to give it a few more plays. it's very shiny but not something i can see myself getting all that excited about right now. n.n;
the second game is
BOTS, which is like...Armored Core Super Ultra Diet Light. with a hint of PSO. it's in open beta right now so a lot of the options that i'm sure people want to customize their bots aren't available yet but i'm sure are on the way. you can play either PvE, PvP or guild PvP, and the fighting is pretty much a ton of button mashing of the attack button and waiting for your transformation bar to fill up so you can cause some super damage. it's cute and fairly addicting, and has a bonus of having double xp/money every friday night. i've been having fun with it so far though you will get stuck doing certain levels over and over again, as you end up doing in PSO. the armor/weapons/etc system is like PSO except that you can't add +'s to your equipment via enhancement items. or at least not yet. the drop rates for the upgraded weaponry is pretty low but larger teams tend to up the odds from what people say. the elite levels are certainly meant to be done by large teams as
fire_senshi kept learning over and over again whenever we thought were strong enough to take it on. at lvl 12 and 11, we still weren't able to clear the lvl 8 elite floor...but we were kinda tired by the time we attempted it so maybe if we were a bit more awake and aware, we would've done better. n.n; in any case, we're having fun on it.
guess this is kinda my hiatus away from CoV. n.n;
dad is driving up to meet with Sher at her parents, which means i'll have to look after Kouji. perhaps i shall just take him back home with me with all his stuff and just keep him here. >_>;
