thankfully, i've never had to deal with severe cases of homophobia, though it hurt enough to have my parents tell me they don't approve of it and don't know if they could be happy for me if i were to continue such a lifestyle. my mom still tries to 'fine excuses/reasons why' i'm 'this way'. my uncle still cracks gay jokes sometimes, though i admit i'm not sure if he 'knows' or not. the only person in my family that i know for sure supports me is my brother. isn't it kind of sad i get more support from my friends (whether they're straight, gay, bi, male or female) than from my family? *sigh*
