Bleh
Well I got my tonsils out Monday. They said I did really good in the surgery, but there was alot of infection in them so I would have to find a way to swallow these huge antibiotic pills. Well... due to puss in my throat from the infection I couldn't really drink or breathe all that well so Tues night at 10:30pm I find myself admitted to the ER in Kinston (2 hrs from home) so the ENT could keep an eye on me. *sigh*
They finally let me go home late Friday afternoon. After spending a few days on IVs and heavily drugged with Demerol shots I was quite ready to get out of there. I felt great all afternoon til I tried to go to sleep. Spent 4 hrs coughing up junk - thinking surely I was gonna die or have to be re-admitted to the hospital. I think out of pure exhaustion I passed out around 5am. Whew.
Today I felt really good! I was even pretty hyper at one point in the afternoon and ready to get out of the house. It had been since Sunday since I had a meal, but I managed to get down half a bowl of wonton soup today! Yay! *tummy grumbles* When this is over with I want a big fat steak (medium rare of course) topped with mushrooms with a side of sweet potatoes and a great big caesar salad. Yummy.
Well the day has wore on, and even tho I haven't done anything all that active I think I've about had it. I need a nap or something. ZZZZZzzzzzz...
