Obligatory Reaction Post

I AM REPEATING HERE WHAT I'VE SAID EVERYWHERE.

I did not vote at all. I personally boycotted the vote for various reasons.

NUMBER ONE... And most importantly. I did not educate myself on every candidate and the issues/changes they were planning on making until the very end when everyone and their dog was talking about the election. And if I don't know who is standing for what, you are DAMN RIGHT I'm not going to vote.

NUMBER TWO. What I heard about both major candidates (Obama and McCain) did not encourage me to vote for either of them, anyway. I'm sorry guys, but for me, gay rights is very important, and I don't feel comfortable voting people into office who won't support my rights to the partner I want.

NUMBER THREE. I have issues with the government, and the way it has been run for years. Yes, change needs to happen. Do I think Obama will bring about a good change? I don't know. I hope it will, but I have my doubts, especially after reading friends' journal entries.

GUYS. I DON'T CARE THAT HE WON. I AM NOT IN ANY WAY EXCITED ABOUT THIS ELECTION. I DON'T THINK ANYTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE, AND IF IT DOES, IT WILL PROBABLY CHANGE FOR THE WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER. I HOPE YOU'RE PREPARED FOR THAT.

In summary, yeah, I didn't vote. If anyone has a problem with that, or with me spewing anti-government shit in my journal after the election, or thinks I don't have the right to express my opinion because I didn't vote? Um, gtfo of my journal. Because this is MY space, and I'm allowed to say what I want in my space.

I'll be allowing comments, but they'll be screened until I decide to unscreen them or reply.

gtfo, noooooo, politics suck, rant
