Music that stirs
I just got home from day one of show load-in for the Evanescence tour. It's a very simple and clean layout, nicely done. It's just a bitch to move all the bits and pieces into the right places. :) It's cool though, I'm working with two really quite cute boys on the lighting rig. They both have bouncy, fun personalities that makes it easy to work with them, even when it means pulling 50lbs of cable under a 5' high stage. They're both straight, but I can forgive that. Plus I get to see the show - and it should be nothing short of amazing.
I'm going to bed - I have to be back at 9am tomorrow for the other half of the rig setup. For now I'm going to post the rest of what I'd written previously, but wasn't able to post due to yet another computer f*kup. Speaking of music that stirs...
It's amazing how a song can reach inside you and stir your deepest emotions, or chill you to the bone. How just a few words can make you long to be somewhere else, and you'd do anything to be with that special someone, far from the hole you're in now. Below is the part of Plumb's new track, "In My Arms," that first caught my attention. I've put the whole song under the LJ-Cut. I strongly reccomend listening to it if you have the chance. Usually you can hear it on XM Radio's BPM (channel 81), and sometimes on Comcast Digital's dance music channel 417. I'm still trying to find a copy of the song myself - if anyone has it, please let me know.
