With just 50 minutes until the most important Oath of office every administered outside of the first one of George Washington, I find that I am already being moved to near-tears. There are nearly 2 million people on the Mall. Faces of every race, shining and happy, joyous and jubilant.
We are here at the turning point my friends. We have been handed the opportunity to show what America is all about and had forgotten about itself.
Its a beautiful day in Washington DC (originally forecast to be raining).
CNN has just announced that more people will watch this event than have EVER watched ANY event in the history of television. 240 countries and territories have their eyes on us and the glimmer of hope that is showing itself through the dark cloud we've been locked in.
Mr. Bush: For all your mistakes and faults, you did what you felt was right and what was just regardless of the consequences. You were handed a shitty deal and you did your job. I commend you for that, right or wrong.
