A Day Of Tremendous Win!
Headed down to South Street to visit the new Digital Ferret storefront -- holy CRAP, it's huge! I wish Patrick, Joe, Becky, et. al. the best of luck in the new digs, the move was long overdue.
Stopped in to see if Cue Records happened to have anything of note: they were once the source for the best hard trance and hard house records (they consistently surpassed 611 in that regard), but a few years ago they switched to carrying only hip-hop and R&B. On a whim I figured I'd give them a browse and see what I could find... and holy SHIT was that the right decision to have made. For less than $20, I scored all these:
- KLF "What Time Is Love / Live At Trancentral" original Wax Trax 12"
- 2 Unlimited "Get Ready For This" original Radikal Records 12"
- Apotheosis "O Fortuna" original Radikal Records 12"
- Golden Boy with Miss Kittin "Rippin Kitten (Glove Tension Dub)" 12"
and two bangin' trance white-labels that have no artist/title info
You'd think that would be enough to make the day for me, but then I headed over to see my old friend Luis at NoKaOi Tattoo/Piercing and inquired as to the price of getting my labret pierced. We chatted and settled on a good price, and after a brief detour to grab a quick bite to eat before getting pierced I now have a new Shiny in my lower lip! I've been wanting this done for years, and never got around to it until now. I'm super-happy with it. It's a little spike to match my spiky hair! Check it out:
