Now that I've done my recap article (
here) for last night's episode of Supernatural, I can sit back, relax, and watch it again for my own enjoyment and analysis.
Obviously something was going to be going on with that baby when the camera stayed on him in the opening.
Love the season 6 title sequence.
Oh, the Impala. You don't deserve to be under the tarp like that. Can't blame Dean for being so overprotective, but I do feel bad for Lisa and Ben--they were fine until he came back into their lives.
Sam working a case without Dean seems weird. And Samuel is so sketchy. But Sam noticing the security sign reminds me of old Sam, and I kind of miss him--back before Dean went to hell.
Dean doesn't want Ben to have the childhood he did--something tells me Ben will wind up shooting a gun just because Dean said he never will. And Lisa's right--he can't just keep them locked up in the house 24/7--they need to have lives.
When Sam opens the closet, I couldn't help but think--attack by household objects! Going into the episode knowing there were shapeshifters made the whole, silver hurts them thing not at all a surprise. I kinda wish we had gotten to see what Sam was like with the baby before he called Dean.
Love how Dean insists he's out but he's salting the windows. Don't like them in separate cars. They belong in the Impala. Aww, cute baby!
Dean making sure Lisa knows how to handle a gun and will salt the windows & doors was kinda cute. Love Lisa telling Dean she'll shoot him if he doesn't go.
"A car should drive, not be a little bitch." LOL So true Dean! Love them shopping for baby supplies. Love Dean holding the baby--"Bobby John." Should've been suspicious of the woman from the start--convenient security camera screens right there though. "Give me the baby before I stab you in your neck." Love how Dean just ran away.
Dean in the backseat with "Bobby John" was adorable. But he's been conquered by a car seat. And Dean getting the baby to sleep in the motel--humming rock 'n' roll.
Sam's surprised at Dean's parental abilities--has a point about how he is with Lisa and Ben at the moment. Dean doesn't want to be like John. Dean & the magic fingers--reminiscent of times past. Baby shifting--eww. That baby just stopped crying when Dean put it down when the shifter showed up at the motel--weird. Good timing, Sam.
Sam considers the Campbells family--Dean doesn't yet. Sadly, there really doesn't seem to be any other option than to bring it to Samuel. Still hate the Campbells.
Dean is so protective of the baby around them. And Gwen is creepy. I don't like that Sam takes the baby from Dean and gives it to Samuel after Dean didn't want to. Hate that Christian knows about Dean's history of torturing in hell--and Sam stopping Christian does not make up for the fact that he told him--otherwise, how does he know? Not liking the tension that's between Sam and Dean now because of the Campbells.
Kind of like that the alpha showed up as Samuel at first--one head of a family looking like another. Kinda wish the alpha had killed Gwen and not Mark though. Definitely want to know more about the alpha. Two Sams and two Deans? Oh, the fantasies.
It seems like Sam & Samuel are keeping stuff from Dean. Sam wasn't in the room when the shifter mentioned the father in the motel--unless he was in the hall waiting? But I don't blame Dean for thinking Sam would use the baby as bait--the way Sam's acting, it's not much of a stretch. Samuel, stop being so sketchy and tell me what you're up to! And I want to know who he was talking to!
I felt bad for Dean when Lisa was telling him to leave--he doesn't want to leave them unprotected, but he wants to be on the road with his brother. And there are no words for how amazingly awesome the end was: the Impala is back and it seems with it, so is the Dean Winchester we all know and love.
Alright, so I don't like Dean/Lisa--just not my ship of choice. At all. BUT, I do like Lisa and Ben. And since Sam is acting so weird, Dean deserves to have someone in his life. That said, I am ecstatic (reason for my mood on this post) that it looks like things are getting back to normal for this show: the Impala on the road, Dean driving her, Sam in shotgun, and the return of Castiel next week.
