Ho Hum.
So I was all looking forward to going LARPing again this weekend when I was informed Thursday evening that nobody I know (or from Toronto for that matter) that we play with in our little groupie clanny thing will be there. So (whee!) out the window goes those plans. As it turns out I was able to go to no fewer than three birthday parties this weekend, which was fun. Sunday was lay in bed and read fantasy novels day (I love that day!).
I just wish work would pick up a bit. I've done my deals for the month but the number of deals in the hopper is looow. I think our company is loosing our market share down here as a couple of the key buildings our signage is on have been sold to owners who have their own brokers. And the vacancy rate is so low right now (we're at the height of the commercial market) finding space for people who do call is getting pretty tough. Not to mention all the big corporate real estate investment trusts buying up all the buildings pushing the small independent landlords (our bread and butter) out of the market.
I give myself another year here at Locations before our niche has dried up, or I just get the itch to try something new. Its been 6 years now... sheesh! I think I've done well generally, but the wide world is calling me. Maybe there will be some traveling in the near future.
