Great Success!
Well the Yardsale for the Cure was a complete success yesterday. We raised scads of cash for a very worthy cause. I had a great time festooned with pink balloons, cheese helmet on, making an ass of myself at Greenwood and Danforth doing my best town crier routine. All that heralding at the SCA came in super handy.
Caroline and Tim's neighbors were awesome. There is a whole clan of musicians who live across the street and the pulled out a whole 6 piece band set up and jammed most of the afternoon. I even got up and sang and played guitar for the first time in at least 4 years. I was rusty as hell but I don't think anybody cared. Tim and I did a duet of a Cake cover. It was awesome!
I picked up a beautiful Jewish sabbath sterling silver wine chalice and candle set that somebody donated, as well as a bunch of neat brik-a-brak that are the joy of a good yard sale.
I hope we do it again next year. I felt really good about myself yesterday. Its been a while.
