dude...

Monkey Suit.

its called a job for a reason, its not supost to be fun. its supost to suck, otherwise its not work. and really career changes are freaken hard, and you end up usualy in a worse spot than you were before.

its a matter of finding something with a limited amount of suckage that still keeps you in the life style that your acustomed to.

i busted my hump with a carrier change, i came close to starveing. in the end i was back on the phones, and would still be there (and im technicaly going back) because it has to be done.

your good at what you do, you really enjoy what you do. youve just taken a few hard hits and your forgettting your basic survival.

shit man, your the one that came up with the monkey suit rote. and its kept people like me and other working shittier jobs than what you have. granted, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

here i am doing what i want to do inbetween jobs and it sucks. because its endless work for no return.

you can do this, ive seen you. ive sat with coffee and listened to you gloat about how good you are with what you do, and frankly some of us are endlessly envious of how well you do.

so get back in there trooper, your the best at what you do. time to show em that the turkeys arnt right.

the only problem and ultimate counter-point to the 'gloating' is the spring I've had where I work and don't get paid.

and that is exactly what happened this spring. I busted my hump for absolutely no reward. Which is extremely stressing, frustrating, and quite frankly drives me to stress and anxiety, which drives me to self medicate, which puts stress on my relationship and is slowly killing me.

well it cant all be sunshine and grassy fields. i kinda always thought that possably that the big sucess you had early on would be counterpointed by some shit at some point.

so we need to find you an apropriate stress releif. i should take you out airsofting. or when the weather gets a little better you can join us for boffering. even if i have to ill put a kite in your hands.

again, ill ask what are you doing for yourself these days. in all honesty you cant just have one bath with a book and think the bandaid will solve the bleeding wound. your going to have to take time out regulary and schedualed untill you clunk your head thru it. for me, it was guided meditation 3 times a week and running long distance back in the day.

some of it might be just cause and effect, the cruddy time at work might just be the boiling of deeper issues that might need to be resolved before anything else comes to light. i know my own anxiety levels stack like that, that im capable of ignoring some issues for an indefinate period of time untill i have time to resolve them, however when enuff stack up i end up a little frantic. (well actualy more than a little frantic, manic is more like it.)

unfortunatly for people like you and me, these pressures come from everywhere. they come from personal expectations and the expectations of others. on top of that we get a bunch of garbedge from "the upstairs" neibours that due to their nature come down like directives on high.

if you think of your being as the sum of three parts. those being mind (conciousness), body (meat and temporal), and spirit (soul and aether) and plot those three points out in your mind as points in a triangle, youll find its easy to plot out where some of the issue might be from. if any of the points are anything but equilateral triangle from each other then thats a indication of critical inballance that requires immediate atention.
let me know how that visulization helps or works. its one ive been useing for years that ive almost developed into somethign useable. ;)
