I'm not dead! I'm just being held hostage..................
by the JAMGIRLZ!
Many moons ago, I was involved in the Phunky Bitches. Short synopsis: a whole ton of folks who were really into the band Phish, and believed in safety for women on tour. Well, I left that group in 2002, but kept some dear friends from my involvement with them.
Well, now some folks have created an "alternative" to that group, a message board with a lot of the same people who were in the PB's when it first started. So...........that's been very exciting for me, and that's where I've been spending my online time. It's not that I haven't WANTED to update here............I don't know, things keep distracting me from the ole LJ over the past few months, first it was myspace............ and now that I'm on jamgirlz all the time, I'm just about over myspace. Keeps running in cycles like that. But I always DO come back here.....sometimes it just takes a little time is all. :)
So thank all of you who commented lately, even though I've been horrifically shitty about getting back to you. I still catch up with you all every so often.
A quick update would be:
* The wedding this weekend was spectacular. It was great to spend so much time with my peeps from NoVa, Brett and Christina were absolutely radiant, the wedding itself was flawless, good good times. Of course, my liver is out of practice for a weekend bender, so I feel like I've been recovering all week. haha.
* County Band is Monday - all kinds of plans for that. It's going to be exciting, that's for sure. Conducting 1/2 a program for around 110 kids, the biggest band I will have ever conducted. Scared? naaaaaaaah not me! I think I picked great tunes for my 1/2 of the program, so...we'll see how that goes.
* Then for the next 2 weeks I get to run my ass off doing 5 programs, and playing for another, and trying to also get to my brother's concert and my sister in law's. If you don't hear from me the week of May 13, I very may well BE dead at that point - haha.
* But before that, I get to have about 6 of my friends here for a weekend of jankwaxing and beerdrinking and all kinds of happy stuff. Foxy, Jammy, Cress, Dave, Nikki.........and maybe a few others. rahoo! That will be exactly what I need to set me straight before I go cuckoo.
So yeah...........that's all I got at the moment. don't really have time to stress over job or health issues, I got too much to plan before that. Which is a good thing I suppose..........
