Okay, I'm sorry I haven't been terribly responsive to everyone's posts and emails (and sometimes when you're standing right there talking to me), but I am reading them. It's been a crazy week.
This is going to be a bit disjointed. Bear with me.
Last week PA got promoted! Hurray! However, his work is in the midst of layoffs and he's had to work insane hours to prepare for it. Added to that, he's having a hard time dealing with knowing who is on the chopping block. So we've been averaging 4-5 hours of sleep a night. I'm way past delusional.
I almost ran right over this kid last night. Nearly scared me to death. Nearly mooshed him to death. Crossing in front of traffic that has a green light, at night, wearing dark clothes, no helmet. Brilliant! There was much yelling.
PA's uncle passed away Tuesday. He had been battling cancer for a while.
I got to see Amy's darling little twins this evening. They were so cute!
Right afterward we went to the visitation. It was good to see everyone. The widow gave me a potted plant and said, "Don't you let it die." Okay, no pressure. I was asking PA's aunt if his other aunt was going to come and she said, "Um, we're not sure. She wandered away and we can't find her." 0_0 Seriously? Yes. She's been missing since last night. They've called police, all her friends, motels, etc. Hopefully, she'll turn up pretty quickly. I'm really worried, though.
PA got a cellphone for me. He wants blah, blah, safety, blah. I've been playing with ringtones. When he calls it's going to play Queen's Somebody to Love. I should have used Cake's Love you Madly. Darn buyers remorse.
