yeah- i'll get a gun w/out my husband's approval just as soon as i don't want to have a husband... the husband is old school. if i had gone out and gotten a gun one day without any discussion at all? he'd be irritated but he'd get over it. but to go and get one when he said 'no'? that would be the end.
and, the fact that he's like that is one of the problems we have in our marriage.
really a huge frustration. he thinks treating me fairly and as an equal is an act of generosity and a sign of his liberal nature. really. i didn't realize that until about 18 months into the marriage. thankfully, he has a lot of good points.
