The Dark Knight
Batman is my favortie comic book hero, but, until Batman Begins, none of the movies had done him justice.The Dark Knight was awesome! It had enough material in it for three movies. As far as Heath Ledger deserving an Oscar, I don't think so, although PA disagrees with me. I mean, it's Joker. I don't see him as an especially difficult character. PA thinks he did a good job of making the Joker a believable character and not over-the-top. Christian Bale plays the best Batman. Of course, anyone is better than Val Kilmer.
Last night was the first time in a long time that I've seen a movie on opening weekend. It was well worth the lines. I think we are at the perfect age: old enough to have the money to buy the tickets and young enough to want to go to the cool movies.
Btw, one of the previews was for The Watchmen. Apparently based on some of PA's favorite graphic novels as he could barely contain himself. :)
