Kitten Saves the World

I don't know if any of you've ever seen the film Breakfast on Pluto but I rented it out the other night and I really, really enjoyed it. OK, I admit it, I'm on a huge Cillian Murphy kick at the moment, so the dvd was pretty much destined to come home with me anyway . . .

Directed by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game) and based on a book by Patrick McCabe, Breakfast on Pluto follows the story of Patrick "Kitten" Braden, who grows up during the The Troubles in 1970s Ireland. Kitten ends up becoming an androgynous teenager who just happens to like wearing women's clothes and eventually travels to London on a quest to find his real mother. Kitten remains funny, charming and irrepressible in the face of hardship and tragedy, refusing to be 'serious' even as he's drawn into terrible trouble by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And does he find his mother? You'll just have to watch it if you care to find out ^^

Here one of my favourite clips, 'Kitten Saves the World', aided only by her (I mean his XD) 'anti-terrorist' perfume spray, black pvc and some kick ass boots:
