Tomorrow marks the 6 week, halfway point through my recovery. I'm happy that I'm soon going to be on the home stretch - I am seriously ready to be on the way done with this!
I wanted to post here to ask for a little bit of help. I'm getting pretty frustrated with the state of things around my house, and though I've had a lot of wonderful help, I wanted to ask for even a little more. I know it's impertinent of me, but I'm getting exasperated.
"Please, sir, I want some more!"
I'm getting better, and there are some things I can now do for myself, which is awesome. But not being able to carry anything is really a bummer, and not driving is even worse. Jason is helping a lot, but it's a lot to keep up with.
So I know it's a lot to ask, but I wondered if anyone would be willing and/or able to do a little shift this weekend or over the next week or so to help me out with a few things. It won't be much, really - maybe an hour or two of tidying. Absolutely no seriously icky cleaning - I had the maid come last week and so everything's pretty darned clean - it's just the untidyness that is making me cuckoo. Things like mail, plant watering, kitchen decluttering, helping me put clothes away, things of that nature.
I will be happy to pay for food for us, and gas if you're travelling. I'm not on drugs anymore so I'm pretty good company. Alternatively, I could share!
I'm also looking for help with a few errands. There are a few things I am having a hard time getting delivered, or at least not without excessive expense. Pet Club would be a stop, the bank, Walgreens, maybe Target. If you are going to any of those places anyway, maybe I could tag along and/or send a list with you. I'm very happy either way - sometimes it's a pain to haul a gimp along for errands, and I understand that. :)
Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?
If not, I wonder if you can hire errand boys?
Thanks in advance - I'm very sorry to have to ask.
