Sunshine and lollipops...
In support of my assertion that I have the best job in the world, I present to you two photos of my desk. Apologies for the fuzzy camera-phone pics.. the glass is broken.
The first one was because I suddenly became aware that I had not one, but FOUR different roses on my desk that had been given to me in the past week. Some of it was because it was Staff Appreciation week, but also just because people think of me when they have an itch to do nice things. I am showered with love.

Bow to the King and his bobbleheaded glory. This photo is mostly to show the weird random assortment of crap that ends up on my desk... not pictured: 2 knives, a dirty friendship bracelet, someone's wallet size laminated picture of their family, one silver earring, a beaded barrette.
Sorry if this gets gross, reading all the time how lovely my job/life/whatever is... I don't want to be cloying but I really feel strongly that I need to document the good and bolstering things that help me when times are on the rough side. It helps me to actively say how grateful I am on a daily basis. I do kind of worry about the time when I find another career that doesn't reward me as much emotionally. I'm concerned that I've grown accustomed to the sweetness.
