Guess what I'm doing tomorrow. No, really....guess.
I'm heading to the passport office! LUMOS, BABY!!!!
To get ready for it, there were several steps. However, the one that was most traumatic was the incident at the photo shop to get my mugshot from Hell passport photo. After several tries, my extremely picky photographer finally thinks we have a winner. However, after printing it out, the conversation went a little like this:
DJIN7: So...how does it look?
Passport photo girl: Well...
DJIN7:...
PPG: Your skin tone is all wrong. I'll reprint it, and see what I can do.
DJIN7: Any better?
PPG: No. I just don't understand it. Maybe my computer isn't programmed right. Let me check something, and try it again.
DJIN7: Er, OK.
DJIN7: *foot tapping* How about now?
PPG: Ummm. I don't know. I don't think that they will like the skin tone.
DJIN7: What do you mean? Too much glare? Too much shadow? *has read do's and don'ts form*
PPG: Well..no. It's just that you look so pale. I can't seem to make it any darker. It's not as if the flash was too high...maybe I can darken it one more time...
DJIN7: Lemme see it.
PPG: *hands over photos*
DJIN7: *looks, looks again. snickers*
PPG: What?
DJIN7: ...Honey, that IS my skin tone. BWAHAHAHAH! Have you SEEN me? Could I BE any PALER?
PPG: Well, I don't know...
DJIN7: Hahaha. Honestly, I've been trying to make MY skin tone RIGHT all these years. There isn't anything you can do, save for grabbing that can of that spray-on pantyhose over there, and coating my face with it.
PPG:...
DJIN7: Trust me.
PPG: Well, if you think it's OK...
DJIN7: I think this picture sucks beyond the telling of it. But it seems perfect for all those ID recognition software programs.
PPG: Er...OK?
DJIN7: Don't think I don't know why they want it just so. *nodnod*

SO yeah. That particular painful episode aside, passport seems imminent. YAY! LUMOS!
As an aside: I may or may not have gleaned a morsel of extremely important CIA-like information about Lumos. And of certain people who may or may not be in the neighbourhood (which is well out of theirs) when it is on. seekrit.
