...I can't even remember the last time I randomly recced something. I totally suck.
Today, that changes.
I recently became enthralled with some new art being produced by an flister who hasn't posted art in a long time.
This artist's marker and ink work is so lush, so dense, it's like it comes alive on the page, it will make you cry, it's so wonderful. You can literally feel the chill in the air when she wants you to, or smell the bountiful flowers.
So many to choose from, please check out the gallery, but today I must share with you this delightful, bittersweet piece from the Harry Potter universe, featuring my beloved Severus Snape (RIP) from Harry's trip through his memories:
"The Prince's Tale" by Ulakko "He was now in a small thicket of trees. He could see a sunlit river glittering through their trunks. The shadows cast by the trees made a basin of cool, green shade. Two children sat facing each other, cross-legged on the ground. Snape had removed his coat now; his odd smock looked less peculiar in the half-light." (J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)
If I stare long enough at this picture, I can hear the leaves flutter in the late summer breeze, can feel the shade protecting the children. Her Severus reminds me of Raggedy Andy; sort of melancholy and stitched together, barely whole, except when being loved by a happy child, like the enraptured Lily.
Seriously, go. I don't do this for just anyone.
