Lumos and Vegas Questions
I'm about to head to work this morning, but I though I'd ask:
Anyone out there have a lot of Las Vegas travel experience? Locals? Any packing advice, especially for one who hates the heat and sun? Any warnings, or favourite restaurants? Roads to avoid driving on (we are renting a car)?
Also, those of you who have gone to Cons before:
I've been told a few handy things to bring, such as sketch books. I don't have a laptop, and I doubt we'll be bringing the cel phone now that I've found out the CDN $ cost for roaming charges. Any other things I should bring?
I've also heard that the best laid plans...usually end up cancelled (seminars/panels, et al) as you get together for impromptu and frequent fannish meet ups. Is this true?
