So I was on a plane jet lagged, and I got really into the idea of writing some basic rules to being a rational human that many on the right/conservative/pro-corporate side don't seem to get, but I believe are rather important to state. I bet many of you have some too, send em to me and we'll make a picture book for them to read
)No Wars of Abstraction. War on Drugs -which drugs. War on Terror - how do you define that. Using these vague terms allow people to expand their wars beyond what any rational person would see as necessary.
)You can't say how much greater America is than X until you've spent atleast 2 weeks outside of the US. How could you possibly know.
)If you refer to yourself as a journalist, you must use two independent reliable sources for each story. Unfortunately, none of the organizations do this all the time.
)Shut up about Jesus. First of all we have an obligation to protect the seperation between church and state. Secondly, don't start quoting him until you've read atleast 2 independent reliable sources. King James is not reliable, neither is your DVD version of the bible.
)Stop saying "the democrats" for every variant of liberal politics. Most democrats are not even liberal when compared to global politics. We don't lump all conservatives together as republicans, some are fascists, and some assholes. There are even some who are really nice people, just ignorant.
