Election Satisfaction!
Tonight was a good night.
After all the polling I was pretty much expecting this, but there's always that worm of doubt. Thankfully by the time I got to Jess' house the end was pretty clear. We all started yelling once the results were made official. McCain managed to finish with dignity, though I can't say the same for his audience. Obama accepted with grace, though I was slightly disappointed by how flat his finish was. Hopefully he'll go sleep for the rest of the week.
After everyone else cleared out, Jess, Gwen and I went walking up Hawthorne where there was a crowd celebrating. We walked around some more, talking and soaking up the feeling that something had really changed. Unfortunately I have work in the morning, so really celebrating will have to happen another time. And I didn't do anything stupid, so that's one tradition that won't continue.
