Some things that make me happy
I just made a post about my mother and her passing, and it made me really feel emotional and sad.
I want to post now about some of the wonderful things in my life, and the good times of the past few months.
I like to keep my LiveJournal to look back and remember times, I don't want to just think that this past year was all that one big bad thing of my mother passing away :(
So here are some things and pictures of some things that make me truly happy :)
The things that give me most joy are my wonderful family and the house we bought. something_fast and I spend most of our time making our house our dream house, somewhere truly wonderful and fantastic to live and raise our family.
We have tried to RESTORE rather than renovate. The house is a beautiful 1938 built house, and it would be a shame to try and modernize it.. I've seen too many beautiful old houses like ours 'renovated' with modern kitchens and halogen down lights... it does not appeal to us one bit. Things were so much more beautiful before stainless steel appliances and flat pack furniture... we wnt to keep our house in that past era :)

We've worked really hard over the past few years to make it look like this... Having done most of the work ourselves (because who can afford trades people nowadays!?)... I've learnt things about bench tops and walls that I never wanted to know lol. But I'm getting very happy with it now. We love living here, and intend to be here forever, as we are making it just how we like it :)
Our little girls are growing up here, and it seems they are growing up too fast. Dahlia is 4 in September and Vienna is 2 in September....

These children are the best of Robbie and me, they complete us and define who we are. We are truly the luckiest people in the world to have them *love love*

Yes... Do Not Disturb... Things are very happy in our lives... when you surround yourself with love and beautiful emotions and efforts, when you throw away the things that bring you down and let go of negative emotions and things that hold you back... Life can't be anything but happy....
Sure, bad things will always happen, that is life and out of our control, but when you have such a happy base, the bad things don't touch you quite as hard as they once would have.
There is that saying "Haters Gonna Hate" well we live by the motto "Lovers Gonna Love" ;)
