Wedding Tattoos!!!
Yay for tattoos :)
Specifically wedding tattoos :) something_fast and I got our wedding tattoos on Wednesday... very exciting!
They are traditional swallows, and are based on our wedding invitation that was drawn for us by our lovely friend Kara.
Swallows because these birds mate for life.
Our tattoos are the same except for two differences...
In my tattoo I have a banner that reads "Love" and I have little hearts surrounding it to represent not only love, but our eldest daughter Dahlia's middle name which is Valentine.
something_fast 's tattoo has a banner that reads "True" and he has diamonds surrounding it, representing not only the strength of the truth that is our love, but also our youngest daughter Vienna's middle name, which is Diamond.
When we put them together they complete each other and read "True Love" which is what our union is all about.
We really love how they turned out, and I'm glad that I could find a tattooist that could do amazing colour work to match with my other tattoos :)
... and it was the man's first tattoo, he loved it and probably will have many more very soon, he's been bitten by the tattoo bug :)
