I feel poo-ish, yet merry

Dec 25, 2005 16:35

Due to circumstances beyond my control (as John Malkovich says in Dangerous Liaisons), I did not do any shopping. Nothing. No one. Of course, I feel like poo about that, but hopefully I can be well enough tomorrow to get out of the house. We didn't even send out Christmas cards this year. I just didn't feel good at all.

The Bear, being fabulous, though, did get me gifts...which made me feel all the more pooish.

A Thomas Kinkade calendar, and the following books:
1. Memoirs of a Geisha
2. The Holy Road (sequel to Dances with Wolves)
3. The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio

I already own that last one, but he forgot that he bought it for me previously. He's such a doll.

Was awoken today by the sound of Phantom of the Opera...the little bits that I saw as I was waking up looked dumb. I didn't see it last year, so it was a bit of a surprise to see Minnie Driver trying to emote and sing.

Am waiting for husband to get back home so he can take me to my parents' house. Mom made pork chops and I haven't had those in like 14 years. Hopefully my stomach can take it.

It feels like a rather warm day. Either that or I have fever.

Beautiful warm moments yesterday:
A bunch of babies came to my Christmas eve photo shoot at Eastwood last night and surprised me with a gift--a bookbag with a photo of a bunch of them on it. Very cool. Very cool moment.

AND

Carrots and celery from WingIt. Can you believe they were open at 9:00 p.m. last night? Can you believe I got four orders of carrots and celery and enjoyed them with total zeal? What a great husband to get me carrots and celery on Christmas eve just because I had a hankering for them.

Well, my journal, Merry Christmas. The Bear is almost home from going to see his jerk family. Yeah!
