In an effort to secure a location at "the table", Thursday night I went over to
jeckcrow's to set up. There were a number of others that did the same thing and after spending a bit of time installing UT2004 I headed home much later than I should have to get some needed sleep.
Friday I came into work, then headed out early for "the Interview" that you all know landed me a Tech Writing job. I start on May 24th and I am fairly excited, except for the fact that I have to go back to business casual dresswear for work. The price I pay for making "bank" I guess. After the hoorah of hearing about the job, I headed home, then dropped by to pick up
the_doctor and headed to the LAN Party. I think that I left somewhere around 3:30 am, but I am not totally sure. There was a level of frustration that took over after several hours of getting jacked by the upstairs crew, but I had a good time and there was much rejoicing.
Saturday I headed over sometime around 12:00 and hung out for a while. Thank you to
painite for the leeching of many Zim episodes that I did not have. UT2004 started back up and we played for a couple of hours. After a while I took a break (being a little frustrated again) and headed over to the mall with
nil8r where we acquired much needed food. After heading back to the house and installing some new software and frustrations with getting it working, the night turned out pretty good. I was playing every other UT map so as to not get as frustrated and taking breaks to go upstairs and chat with people who weren't playing. Bedtime came about 3:30 again.
Sunday was very relaxed. Headed to breakfast with some of the LAN crew (see
jeckcrow's journal for Sunday brunch details) and talked to
obake about Godlike characters. We headed back and a large group headed to Costco while I took
jeckcrow's brother over to the Mall to pick up City of Heroes. After that some more game playing and then headed home around 9:00, packing my stuff home.
Again, I want to thank the residents of the house for putting up with all the people that were in and out all weekend.
