Glasses

I'm wearing glasses for the first time today. I can't say I'm loving it. The doctor warned me that it would take a week or two for my eyes to adjust, and until then, my vision would probably be worse. He was right. It's not horrible, but it's not great either. Part of the problem is that, as the doctor said, the severity of the double vision varies depending on the position of my eyes, and the prism can't account for that. So when I look in some directions, things look clearer than others. In general though, nothing looks better than without the glasses, and some things look worse. In particular, it's very difficult to read. Also, I can see the frame on the edge of my vision, which is annoying. I actually feel a little nauseous. Then again, I kind of felt that way when I woke up, so that probably has nothing to do with the glasses.

The kicker is that these might not work at all. Apparently, using glasses to correct this condition is kind of a trial and error thing, at best. Maybe I should just go for the eyepatch.

Also, last night when I tried them on, I thought they looked kind of good. Today, not so much. Anyway, the doc said to wear them as much as possible, so the next week or two should be fun.
