Saw a couple movies lately.
Skyfall I saw in IMAX, which was worth it. There are a few minor faults in the film, but overall it is an excellent movie with great cinematography and some amazing performances by both Daniel Craig and Judi Dench. There are a few minor faults, but some of it is just nitpicking. Go see it in the theatre while you still can.
Wreck It Ralph was a cute film. I saw it in 2D instead of 3D and don't think I really missed out on anything. Only in the beginning does it portray the behind the scenes life of arcade game characters. The rest of the movie the premise is forgotten and our two main characters wander around a world made of candy and product placement, full of puns and gags that aren't quite groan inducing but aren't really that clever. If the movie had a message to get across, it got lost along the way in a storyline that doesn't take any risks. Wait for the home video release and the inevitable Disney channel tie-in cartoon series.
I'm DJing tonight at a club here in town. Hopefully some people show up. Otherwise I'm all alone for the holidays as usual.
