Last weekend I went down to Elliott's Winter Carnival in Orlando, FL. I go to as many of the Elliott's events as I can, and they just keep getting bigger and better. The party pavilion is coming along nicely, now with a wooden dance floor, tile in the hallways, and carpet in the headless lounge. Lunch and dinner were very tasty and plentiful; I loved the spicy brisket and the salmon, and this time they even had an Icee machine and a Keurig coffee/tea/cocoa machine. Also brand new this time, the upstairs was opened into a nice spacious carpeted lounge area. There must have been over 200 people there this weekend.
On Sunday, instead of breakfast at the pavilion, King Elliott invited everyone to the Hyatt Grand Cypress and gave us free tickets to the Cascade breakfast buffet for an amazing breakfast. We then took a tour of the hotel and its amenities, where Elliott's Spring Gathering will be hosted in May. There's a lake with sailboats and various kinds of paddleboats, a giant pool with waterfalls, spas, and a water slide, and much more than I can name at the moment, all free to use. I can't wait to be back there in May.
But all things have to end and I'm back home at work this week. On Sunday I fly out to San Jose area on the west coast. If anyone out there wants to meet up and seek out some good food let me know.
