I must say, since dumping FB, my day's annoyance levels are much lower. I don't have to scroll by acquaintances offering acquaintances a canned birthday greeting that required 0.02 mental processing energy or thoughtfulness to accomplish. Yes, it is nice to have a reminder for people whose birthdays you didn't remember. But if you didn't have their birthday on your calendar in the first place, are you really that good of friends?
I don't know what you're eating, clicking, liking, playing. I'm ok with this. It's a relief.
Event invites are a double-edged sword. I got a lot through FB that I knew I was getting cattle called. Me and 3000 of your closest friends were invited? Hm maybe I'll pass. The events where it just helped coordinate 20 RSVPs for parties you were already attending, those were helpful.
