(no subject)
So its official.
I start at McHenry on Monday. Ill be there for a week to do basic stuff, get fitted for my uniform and equipment, and Ill be sworn in some time next week. I recieve my Badge some time next week as well.
Aug 8th I get sent off to Carol Stream for the Academy, where I will be for 33 days. I get to live in a hotel for a month......... joy. Its a good deal though. I can come home on weekends, and they give me $700 for meals for the 33 days. I graduate on Sept 9th......thatll be a good day.
Its nice being almost done with all of this. My mom has been going nuts about the whole thing. Shes offered to help me out with buying my Sidearm and any equipment I need.
Things are lookin good.
Ill be moving out on my own within the next 2 months also. This is all happening really fast.
