Past updates: I have been just way too busy in a new role at work and helping while others are oof on vacations.. then work on monster house = no time lately to type in LJ!!

9.22-- Saturday we did an awesome Seattle Tour Bike Ride through the city. A friend of C's has his own lil tour he likes to show off Seattle sites by bike.

We started at Beacon Hill and met up by Group Health Hospital behind Capital Hill.. We rode the streets looking at 'what is left' of fine old victorian type houses on a few blocks behind 15th. Then we rode across University Bridge and hit the Burke Gilman Trail with a side track to the troll of course. Once in Fremont we had late lunch at the Red Door Happy Hour at 3pm.

After food and a beer we rode past the beer fest and headed to the Ballard Locks to see the Salmon jumping (Chinook Season is now- very cool.) We crossed the lock and headed up the other side towards the more industrial view of our journey along the railroad tracks towards Sand Magnusen Park. Then we turned back but took 15th towards the Freemont Bridge and then we were ready for the beer fest.. This was a great 12 mile or so ride.

The Octoberfest winner is…..
So I believe the winner of the BeerFest in 'our group opinion' was Old Rusputin: http://www.northcoastbrewing.com/beer-rasputin.htm
Most were already definitely a fan of the Arrogant Beer as well: http://www.arrogantbastard.com/faq/index.html

I made sure to only drink good stouts with my beer tokens, as those were some strong ales.. so the lil cups were fine by me, as we still had to bike home that nite! Around 11 we headed back through downtown and international district for all day/nite dim sum menu for greasy treats. Then back up the hill on home.

bike it
