WTF UMBC! WTF!
I got a GA position...then I am told, the Friday before I am supposed to start mind you, that I may not be able to have it because the department has overspent. Typically, aren't people laid-off after they start working? Usually it's not the other way around. I was depending on that job, damn it! Now I must wait until Monday to know if I will have to start praying for a miracle or start begging for the 2 jobs that I declined because I was told I had this one!
