Vinland Saga Manga (I'm Caught Up)
Wow. I read up to where the anime ends, Vol 8., Ch.54 "End of the Prologue" (same title as the season finale of the anime), in the manga just now. Jen and I just finished the series on Sunday "Vinland for Valentines" and I'm kinda surprised I beasted through the manga that fast. The anime is hella accurate to the manga. Even the art looked the same, tbh. But I feel like, idk, the anime was better than the manga? Wow can't believe I'm saying that. I must have been really interested in the series though, because to beast through 8 volumes and 54 chapters in pretty much a day and a half? woo.
I think the anime is pretty freakin accurate to the manga. Like okay, only differences I really noticed was 1) There was an implied rape scene. When Thorfinn woke up in the stable after his dad was talking to him in a dream to not go after revenge and that his mom and sister was waiting for him, the Vikings were raping a girl and asked Thorfinn if he wanted to join (he just walks away) 2) Leif says he's a Christian and is against the salve trade 3) The whole scene where Thorfinn is locked up cuz he fought those 3 dudes in the street and when Leif talks to him in jail, was never in the manga (good.i thought it was filller). But naw the anime is hella close the manga otherwise. 4) Also in the manga, when Thorfinn reunited with Leif, he tells Thorfinn that Ylfa gave birth to his neices and nephews and she's a mom now. I don't think that was in the anime right?
