LIMITED SEATING - not a big "dance music" performance like usual.
Hi, everyone!
As many of you know, it has been a long time since I've brought out the old turntables (and CD players) and performed anywhere. Well, I'm happy to announce that I'm about to start doing it again.
However, don't break out the dancing shoes, bikinis and electrical tape just yet. This is a more subdued type of event than usual, at a much different venue than usual. (No disrespect to the Gypsy, of course, which I still love.)
I will be appearing at an awesome new restaurant/lounge called 3316, located (appropriately enough) at 3316 S. Peoria here in Tulsa. At the time of this posting, they don't have an "official" sign up, but they are right around the corner from Mecca and right next to a big-ass tattoo and body piercing place. I can vouch for the quality of the food there; Lanna and I ate there a few nights ago and the food was incredible. Very upscale, very classy, and very unique. Along with the tremendous food, they also have a very nice bar as well.
This is going to be a VERY different set of events than people have come to expect from me. I will be concentrating on DOWNTEMPO music (mainly trip-hop with some ambient and other stuff included) with some CLASSIC HOUSE tracks as well to speed things up now and then. It won't be a big 1980s new wave retro thing, and it sure won't be a bikini dance party. It'll still be quite awesome.
Essentially, I'm going to be performing as background for the restaurant and lounge. I'll be in the corner doing a live DJ set, but in doing so I won't be "rocking a crowd." I'll be providing a comfortable soundtrack for wining and dining, flirting and schmoozing. If people want to get up and dance, they are welcome to do so. I have no problem with it, nor does the restaurant. But, dancing is definitely not required. 3316 is a restaurant and lounge, not a dance club. :)
This will be a much more "intimate" type of Badger performance. No light effects. No fog machine. No huge speakers. No sick jokes or poetry. Just me, playing some incredible, wonderful, sensual music for your listening enjoyment. I'm really looking forward to it.

I'll start off with the downtempo stuff around 10 PM each night, and I will probably start to mix in a little bit of the classic house stuff around midnight. 3316 is a fairly small place, so there will be limited seating and I recommend that you show up early if you want to be seated promptly.
If all goes well, this could turn into a regular position for me at 3316, so it would be great to see lots of people there.
