(Just a heads up--looks like your link's not working at the Sparrabeth post.)

His voice is a hoarse whisper born of a place that does not bear imagining.

Oh, Jack. Ow. It's so hard to see him weak, but in your hands it doesn't seem out of character.

His eyes hold something warm, for her, but her heart splinters. She does not know if he speaks of her treachery or her rescue, and neither choice can make her whole again.

Ow again...I think my heart just splintered a bit too. This is beautiful, painful but hopeful, and I love the last sentence--you have a real knack for a perfect ending.

(I'm not so sick that I'm not willing to read for you, btw, but I don't think I would have a single comment for this one that wasn't along the lines of "guh.")

Thanks so much for the "ows" and the "guh." Hurt/comfort is supposed to, well, hurt, so I'm perversely glad that it does :) Also glad that "hopeful" comes through-I think it's vital that the absolution he offered her at the end of DMC (at least that's what I saw) comes through.

I'm working on C.4 of A Priori, and that will surely require your beta. I get caught up in working through the plot, and by the time I'm done the words just blur. You can do so quickly what would take me hours. Thanks again!

I know I gush at everything you write, but I just love your writing, esp. this voice. There is something so melancholy (or vulnerable, not sure which)about Elizabeth in this one.

Gushing is much appreciated :) I think she's both melancholy and vulnerable, at this point.

I have come to the conclusion that I need to work on my vocabulary. Eh heh...anyway...

This is, yet again, beautiful! You have some wicked talent.

Thank you! I find myself wishing at times for a thesaurus of erotic language-only so many ways to say "heat" "stroke" or "ecstasy." Thanks again for reading. My smut muse is certainly wicked-absolutely will not shut up, just like Jack :)

Just couldn't help myself. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bald-headed-Hermit-Artichoke-Erotic-Thesaurus/dp/0756790565

;) From what I sent to you this morning, you should already know how much I love this. I was all school-girlish, thinking "awwwwww" and whatnot as I read - tough thing to do to me an my black heart. I particularly love the ambivalence - does he forgive her, does he not, does it matter? And her hollowness. And that gentleness that she would resist if she could.

Gorgeous. *blows kisses*

Thanks so much *g* Almost did a search for one myself, as I knew there must be such a thing. I think I've heard of this book and will look to see if I can get it from Amazon in the US. So glad you like Vector, have already done some editing at the LJ poat-post so to speak, will review further with your comments, which I am grateful for :)
