I love movie trash!

I went to see Grindhouse yesterday with Tolbert and Claire.  It's really long, but pretty much worth it (though there were moments in Terentino's segment that ran kind of boring).  I love glorified trash.  It's just so much fun!  Robert Roderiguez has a crazy awesome mind.  I can just see him writing a script and laughing at how insane his own ideas are.  The man is a genius.

We came back to my house where Al was trying to have an 80's party.  He wasn't actually having it because he's only just that morning decided to start inviting people.  Anyways, people finally started showing up around midnight, but by that point Al had already locked himself in his room and decided not to come out for whatever reason, which left me in charge of hosting, which wasn't entirely bad, but it was still a shitty thing to do.  Things escalated when Al tried to ditch the party later in the evening.  I can't say anyone is really happy with him at this point.

The Tempest is going very well, though I really wish I could just do the first scenes and be done with it.  After the beginning of the play, all my scenes are very tiring and feel pretty fake.  No one from home is coming to see it as far as I know, which is a little unfortunate, as it's the biggest part I've had in a mainstage yet, but I am sure there will be more opportunities in the future.

We finished activities in Meisner on Thursday.  Mine was the only one that didn't go well, which just made me feel super.  I was so obsessed with getting an emotional prep by the last day, that when it didn't happen I got really angry, stormed into the room and basically just took the object I was there to get.  Funny, yes.  Good for my acting?  Not really.  Still wasn't truthful to the situation.  Greg really let me have it and I just broke down when I got back to my seat.  Either way, I don't have to think up anymore activities until next semester which is a huge weight off of my shoulders.  We're doing scene work now.  I have until Tuesday to memorise my scene.  I was really hoping to work with Tolbert again, but instead I will be working with Jaime, and Tolbert will be working with Erin Bartley.  Claire and Tim were paired.  So were Ashley and Chelsea, and Catherine and Wes.  Should be interesting.

Today, as people reminded me yesterday, is Easter and I am not going to church unlike many of my friends.  One, because I am feeling a little pressured into it and I don't like that feeling.  Two, it's not something I really believe in anyways, and three, I'm tired and we have rehearsal all day today starting at 1:00.

Future traveling plans:
Trying to figure out a good weekend to visit Guilford in the next month, and:
Keeping this on the DL, but I may be returning to Asheville for a few days in the beginning of May.

Happy Easter everyone!
