What a great day.
I woke up and drove with Tim and Eileen to Durham for an audition. I'm surprised the audition wasn't highly publicized. The man who played piano for me helped to write Alladin and Beauty and the Beast. There weren't many people there at all. Anyways- the gig is in late may. We'll be singing some original pieces, also backing up Norm Lewis (of Les Mes fame). Jeff Foxworthy wiil also be there. It's some fundraiser for a children's hospital I guess, but it's also the entertainment for a gold tournament. I get paid $200, plus one night in a hotel and an all-you-can-eat buffet that is six- count 'em- SIX STORIES TALL. That's six floors of food. The sixth floor is apparently a huge chocolate fountain.
So yeah, the far future holds excitement.
I got back from Durham and rehearsed with Erin Bartley, my new Meisner partner.
Later on in the evening I remembered the swing dance on campus, so I ran off to catch the last hour of it. It was soo much fun, and I forgot (once again) how much I love to dance!
Finally, I came back home to find Tolbert and Claire sitting in Al's room. We talked about wanting to do something exciting for a while, finally deciding to go prank Chuck's room. Al- being a lazy sourpuss, opted not to go. So Claire and Tolbert and I decided to prank him instead. We filled his car with 100 balloons and covered his car in over 2,000 post-its.
I cannot wait for tomorrow!
There will be no Tempest rehearsal tomorrow evening, so I have another great day ahead of me!
Au Revior!
