Bob Hoskins died

I'm not ok.
Not at all.

I'm writing this down to for those who look down on those who mourn people they never met.

From as far as I can remember his movies have been in my life. When I was supposed to be visiting with my Dad when he'd come down state to visit, I recall these movies more than I did him. He had other things to do then spend time with his kids.

So Hook and Who Framed Roger Rabbit became such movies of comfort to me through my life that especially "Roger" I can quote not only the entire movies dialogue but the music and sound affects. When I am ill or bored they bring me peace and a feeling of home. I adored Bob for his work and when I discovered the movie Stay and he growled out the line of "it's Saturday night in the rain, you'll never catch a cab!" I flashed back to "Roger Rabbit" since his American accent stayed the same since then. Just hearing his voice cheered me up like a hug.

He was a good man, a beautiful actor and I will alway regret never meeting him and telling him what his work meant to me. I've been partially dreading the day I see the headline and here it is. And I'm not ok.
