Knowing their time in Wonderland was running out Jafar proposed an idea…
"Leave? Leave this world? Go where?" she laughed, intrigued he would even broach the plan of retreating and bringing her with him.
"There are more worlds than you realize, my dear. We’d be safe there," his insistence and the word ‘we’ touched her.
With a grin, she eyed him, “Why not.” As she leaned forward, about to kiss him to confirm the deal there was a flash and they were gone.
When she woke, she was alone.
In a strange world.
No name. No home. No money.
For 7 years she looked for him and the day she was about to give up hope, running late for work, she literally ran into him. In relief they embraced, all time and worry forgotten as they were finally able to start their lives together.
but the Red Queen drew herself up rather stiffly, and said ‘Queens never make bargains’
